3-round individual event, middle and long distance forest races with combined results, and separate sprint urban race.

Terrain:
Orfű: Western forests of Mecsek, A real taste of orienteering, typical variation of the karstic terrains with large depressions, dolinas, rich in road network. Runability and visibility is excellent in most parts of the competition area though there are some prints of forestry work. Altitude above sea level is 200-400 m.
Pécs: City center, inside the medieval city walls.

Timing:
SPORTident electronic punching system will be used. Touch free mode (AIR+ function) will be activated during the event. Both regular SI cards and SIAC cards can be used. Please enter your SI card number during registration. Renting of regular SI cards will be available, 500 HUF/race. Renting of SIAC cards will not be available.

Competitors without Hungarian Competition Licence have to pay a fee of 1 000 HUF/race.

Payment:
Payment can be made through E-nevezés entry system via credit/debit card transaction. We kindly ask competitors to manage the credit/debit card transaction until 31st March. The payment is also possible at the Event Centre in cash, and also by credit/debit card.
Transport:
No organized transport, public transport is available.
Prize Giving:
Based on the overall results of the 2 forest races, the podium finishers (1-3) of Mecsek Open'24 will be awarded with medals.
The Prize Giving Ceremony of the sprint race will be held separately.
Open categories' results will not be announced.
Other information:
Nature reserve area. Keep it clean. Go Green. Participation on the event is on your own risk. Merchandising only with the permission of the organizers.

The Mecsek Open'23 Event Centre will be situated in the area of the wonderful Orfű Mills
Orfű Mills is a unique industrial historical value with three different mills. You can experience this at the Mill Museum where you can learn about the workings of several types of mills on the mill tour.
In the cafeteria all visitors can enjoy the delicious deserts, hand-kneaded bread and different bakery products made in the Mill's own bakery.
Visitors also can enjoy the Vízfő Educational Trail, which takes you through the protected alder-tree marsh on a row.
The owners provide a 15% off the price of the mill tour.
